Special Merchandise available through the funeral home

The Ocean Grove Memorial Home will arrange to provide special goods or merchandise at a convenience to families it serves.

FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS:

We are prepared to place an order for flowers for you and anyone else in your family. The charges for those flowers may appear on the funeral bill or may be billed directly to an individual or to a credit card.

If it is important to coordinate the colors and designs of several arrangements being sent by several different family members, please offer our willingness to process those orders even if several credit cards are to be charged.

This service is available only through the Ocean Grove Flower Shop which has been in Ocean Grove since 1971. We have been very pleased with their products and services for more than thirty years. www.oceangroveflowers.com

A Casket Spray or Casket Cover is usually from the closest family members.

A Double End Spray is commonly provided by other close relatives

A Vase or a Basket is available, either free standing or held on a pedistal

Special shaped arrangements such as a Heart or Wreath are also available

A "Hinge Spray" is a unique arrangement, usually from grand or great grand children and is placed inside the casket along the hinge of the lid.

Flowers are the only items of funeral merchandise that are "Sales Taxed" at the retail level and the appropriate N. J. State Sales Tax will appear on our final statement for any flower arrangement that we are asked to provide.

PLOT MONUMENT, GRAVE MARKER or a BRONZE MEMORIAL:

Our staff is experienced and especially able to assist you in selecting and ordering a family plot monument if you don’t already have one.

If one does exist and the engraving needs to be started or completed, our staff is prepared to take a “rubbing” of the existing stone while we are at the cemetery and we will have a written proposal to engrave the stone sent to you. We make no additional charge to provide this service. After the proposal is sent to you, any arrangement that you make will be between you and the monument company. Of course, we encourage you to solicit other proposals. Our service of preparing the “rubbing” and any suggestions that we make are at no additional charge.

If you choose to mark a current burial with an individual grave marker, our staff is prepared to “rub” an existing marker and to provide a written proposal to match the existing marker with a new marker for the current burial.

We deal with the Keystone Memorial Company.

STATIONERY:

Acknowledgement Cards are used to express your appreciation for such things as flowers, food sent to the house, a memorial contribution or other act of memorialization or kindness rendered to your family.

Memorial Folders are a folded card with a preprinted cover (we have several to choose from). Both a message and personalized information about the de-cedent is printed on the inside. The message can be as common as the Twenty Third Psalm or it can be any selection that you choose or provide. We can print any message on the inside of the card that you choose.

Prayer Cards are the cards most commonly associated with funerals. The front is often of a religious design and the back carries the decedent’s name, date of birth, date of death and a selection of scripture, a hymn, a prayer or any other wording that the family chooses. We can print any message on the prayer card that you choose, provided there is room.

Personalized Note Cards are available on several types of cards that we carry. Matching envelopes are also available.
